Start the pre-approval and application process by requesting a credit check from your preferred Federal PLUS loan lender. The box to the right is a list of the Federal Plus loan lenders our Washington College families have used during the last three years. Applications for Federal Plus loans are available through one of the lenders listed at the right or a participating lender of your choice.
If you, the parent, have already received pre-approval from your preferred lender but have not yet completed the application/Master Promissory Note
Complete the application process by submitting your Master Promissory Note directly with your preferred lender.
If you used the federal PLUS loan in previous years, simply contact your lender to request approval for the upcoming academic year. Once you have received approval from your lender, you are complete. The approval will be forwarded to Washington College, and the loan will be placed on your student's account as pending aid.
If you are not sure if you have already requested a pre-approval for Washington College, please have your student check their financial aid status on Web Advisor. If a pre-approval has been received from your lender, it will be placed on the student's account, and can be viewed on the "Financial aid by year" page.
You may contact the Financial Aid office by phone at 410-778-7214 or by e-mail at fa_office@washcoll.edu.
